Cement factories in Pakistan’s southern region registered 26.67% year-on-year (y-o-y) fall in export volume to 1.11 million tonnes in the second half of 2015.
Meanwhile, cement plants in the northern Pakistan posted 25.09% y-o-y drop in exports to 1.9 million tonnes.
Pakistan’s cement sales rose by 10.53% from 3.11 million tonnes in December 2014 to 3.44 million tonnes in December 2015 while exports during the month dropped by 25.39% y-o-y from 610,000tonnes to 455,000tonnes.
Domestic sales of cement increased by 19.28% to 2.98 million tonnes in December 2015 compared 2.5 million tonnes in December 2014.
