Powerscreen has announced the completion of its 1000th Warrior machine built at its state-of-the-art facility in Hosur, India.

Having established its manufacturing presence in India 15 years ago, Powerscreen has been at the forefront of crushing and screening innovation in the region while contributing to the growth and development of the country’s industrial sector.

The 1000th machine, a Warrior 600 (now known as a Titan 600), represents the culmination of years of research, development, and engineering expertise. Built to the highest industry standards, this  Made in India machine was the first tracked screener designed with conveyor folding options for containerisation by Powerscreen’s Centre of Excellence in Dungannon, Northern Ireland, in collaboration with the Hosur team, to be exported to global markets.

Ciaran Fanning, engineering director of Powerscreen, explains: “Using a shipping container transport model, we were able to reduce delivery costs and increase vessel ability while leveraging lower manufacturing costs in India to provide a global product. Extensive collaboration between our Dungannon and Hosur teams has resulted in impeccable build quality with a volume that results in repeatable and reliable production. Although quite popular domestically and in regions close to India, the real success of this product has been the export destinations, particularly Europe and North America, which were previously not explored by the Hosur facility.”

The Warrior 600, since rebranded as the Titan 600, is an entry-level scalping screen that provides a cost-effective solution in high-volume, smaller-sized, or recycling applications. From overburden to recycling to various aggregates applications, the Titan 600 has excelled as an independent compact screen and a complement to a crushing train. Their compact and agile nature has benefited difficult-to-access applications, such as Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) and recycling, making them excellent prospects for rental fleets.

“In reaching the remarkable milestone of 1000 Warriors/Titans built in India for our global market, we acknowledge the robust relationship between our dedicated teams in India and Northern Ireland,” said Sean Loughran, business line director for Powerscreen. “Blending the expertise of both Dungannon and Hosur sites, the Titan 600 is a cost-effective machine that caters for secondary or recycling screening applications with performance that will increase the bottom line of its owner.” Amal Benjamin, executive director – MP India, added: “This success is also a testament to our skilled team members on the factory floor at Hosur, whose dedication and craftmanship have been pivotal in bringing the Warrior to life over the years. This achievement is a true reflection of our global teamwork and commitment to excellence.”

To celebrate this achievement, Terex India hosted a grand event that included a ceremonial machine unveiling, speeches from key leaders, a vibrant team gathering, a fireworks display, and group photos.

“In the spirit of ‘Warrior’s Triumph,’ we were excited to celebrate the completion of our 1000th machine in India,” said Jaideep Shekhar, vice president & managing director – Asia & EMEAR, Terex Materials Processing (Terex MP). “This milestone is not just a numerical achievement but a testament to our relentless pursuit of excellence. Terex India has been on a journey of continued growth since we began manufacturing equipment for Powerscreen in 2009. We express our gratitude to our skilled team members, our partnership with the Powerscreen team in Dungannon, and the distributors and customers who have been instrumental in this remarkable journey.”
