The unit is currently conducting a feasibility study at the limestone deposit in Rushinga. The new plant will have an annual production capacity of one million tonnes.
Meanwhile, another cement producer, Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe ( Lafarge Cement), is revamping its operations in the country. The firm has posted a €6.46 million net operating income in 2013. In addition, it has spent around €7.68 million on capital expenditure in the year under review. Its gross turnover stood 3.3% lower in 2013 to €48.56 million.
