Risa, one of Norway’s largest construction contractors, has bought nine new Doosan DA30-5 Stage IV/Tier 4 Final compliant articulated dump trucks (ADTs) from Rosendal Maskin, the Doosan and Bobcat dealer for Norway, based in Askim.

Risa bought the company’s first DA30-5 ADT in 2014, and after successful tests it acquired two more DA30-5s which were delivered in early 2015.

In 2016 Risa has taken delivery of two more DA30-5 machines, which arrived at the end of June and has placed a new order for seven more units which will bring the total of DA30-5 in the company’s fleet to 12. Risa also has a fleet of five Bobcat mini-excavators bought from Rosendal.

“We are very pleased to win this new order from Risa, based on the excellent experience they have had with our machines and the fantastic feedback on performance, uptime, easy operation and reduced fuel consumption, which has all contributed to more orders for our trucks,” says Roy Haaker, product line director for the Doosan ADT and wheeled loader ranges in Europe.

The Doosan ADT range is produced in Molde, Norway.

The Doosan DA30-5 is powered by the Scania DC9 276 kW diesel engine, meeting the Stage IV/Tier 4 Final emission regulations through the use of both Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) technologies, with an electronic engine brake system, one of four brake systems on the trucks. Doosan’s Stage IV/Tier 4 Final ADTs do not need a diesel particle filter (DPF) to meet the emission regulations.
