Sandvik Construction appoint SMT as new Algeria distributor

Sandvik Construction has appointed Swedish Machinery and Trucks Group (SMT) as its new distributor for Mobile and Stationary crushing and screening equipment throughout Algeria. As well as supplying a comprehensive range of crushers and screens, SMT will also provide Sandvik Construction customers with full aftermarket care, spare parts and dedicated customer service. Sandvik Construction has appointed Swedish Machinery and Trucks Group (SMT) as its new distributor for Mobile and Stationary crushing and screening equipment throughout Algeria. As well as supplying a comprehensive range of crushers and screens, SMT will also provide Sandvik Construction customers with full aftermarket care, spare parts and dedicated customer service.

An established name throughout Africa since its launch in 1976, SMT is said to have experienced continuous growth since then. Headquartered in Belgium, the company provides a variety of services and equipment in a number of countries in North and West Africa, with local offices, workshops, service engineers located throughout the area. As well as now being Sandvik’s distributor for crushing and screening equipment, SMT is the official distributor for Volvo Construction Equipment ( Volvo CE), Volvo Trucks and Volvo Penta in 22 countries in North and West Africa.

In addition to its own local coverage, when the situation requires it SMT will be able to call on round the clock support from Sandvik Construction’s regional office located in France, and from Sandvik factories.

Of the appointment of SMT, Marcel Godfrind, president of Sandvik SMC France, said: “We are sure that the combination of Sandvik equipment and global aftermarket support, together with the local knowledge and industry expertise of SMT will enable Sandvik customers throughout the area to benefit from a winning combination.”
