Sandvik has launched SanRemo for Crushers, a system the company says builds on Sandvik’s highly successful ASRi automation system. Adding a wide range of additional control and monitoring features, SanRemo is already in place for other Sandvik product groups, such as drill rigs. As with Sandvik’s ASRi, SanRemo for Crushers ensures the desired closed side setting (CSS) is always maintained, compensating for moisture/hardness of feed material.

SanRemo for Crushers is said to add powerful monitoring, control and data collection features, with access provided via a cloud solution, a new functionality that is designed to eliminate guesswork and provide the hard data needed for informed business decisions.

The system is offered at three different service levels, Bronze, Silver and Gold, with customers paying only for the functionality they need now, with the flexibility to upgrade when needed.

Sandvik says that SanRemo for Crushers is “all about certainty,” which it delivers in three critical dimensions: business certainty (knowing exactly how equipment is being utilised; staying on top of running hours, empty running, standstills, energy consumption and more; accurate forecasts; most efficient use from equipment, and maximising return on equipment investment) along with uptime certainty and output certainty.

Martin Johansson, product line manager Compression Crushers at Sandvik, says: “SanRemo for Crushers is a major advance when it comes to control. The business potential it creates is enormous.”
