Visitor numbers at CQMS 2019 are expected to be 2,000 up on the previous event in 2017
CQMS, Ireland's largest construction and quarrying equipment show, has opened its doors today (Friday June 21).
The bi-annual two-day event is expected to attract 10,000 visitors (up from 8,000 in 2017) and is showcasing around €70m worth of new machinery.
Due to its increasing size CQMS 2019 is being held at the new and larger venue of Punchestown event centre, near Naas in Co. Kildare. The previous 2017 event was held at Molloy’s Quarry near Tullamore, Co. Offaly.
More than 200 exhibitors are showcasing their products in four separate zones, with one featuring an indoor pavilion.
New products on display include the upgraded TA300 articulated hauler from Terex Trucks. Irish Caterpillar equipment dealer Finning UK & Ireland on stand 14 in Zone 2 is exhibiting a range of Cat machines including the new Next Generation Mini-Excavators.
There are a range of hubs and zones such as Innovation & Technology, Skills & Education, Green/Electric machines, Recycling & Demolition, Rental Equipment, Access Platforms and Finance & Insurance.
