The foundation stone has been laid for Sennebogen's new €25 million customer service centre in Lower Bavaria, Germany.
The materials handling plant manufacturer says the new centre at Steinach/district of Straubing is a continuation of its growth strategy. Construction began in April and the new location is scheduled to go into operation by May 2021.
Sennebogen says it will bundle the service activities from the spare parts, customer service and from Sennebogen Vertriebs. Two office buildings, spacious halls and an ultra-modern spare parts warehouse are being built on a site covering 87,000m².
“We are right on schedule with the construction project,” said shareholders Erich and Walter Sennebogen at the laying of the foundation stone.
Earthworks and foundation work for the buildings and for soil improvement are already underway. The company says the site’s transport links offer the best possible access for the rental and used machinery sector and international spare parts logistics and the plant is conveniently located between Straubing and Wackersdorf.
The general contractor on the project is the Max Bögl company, and it is planned and coordinated by the general planner Koch Group. Sennebogen’s own cranes are being used for the individual construction steps. A time capsule has been sunk into the ground containing coins, construction plans and a current daily newspaper to highlight the importance of the project.
