Cat's local dealer Jordan Tractor provides a complete service contract for Advanced Crusher Company's two quarries - 20hours a day at Al-Hallabat and 24 hours a day at As-Sweimeh. "The customer is keen to keep track of productivity and availability and is focused on zero downtime," said Jordan Tractor parts and service manager Amin Amireh.

Caterpillar’s local dealer Jordan Tractor provides a complete service contract for Advanced Crusher Company’s two quarries – 20hours a day at Al-Hallabat and 24 hours a day at As-Sweimeh.

“The customer is keen to keep track of productivity and availability and is focused on zero downtime,” said Jordan Tractor parts and service manager Amin Amireh. “We have been working with Advanced Crusher since early 2009.

The dense basalt rocks at Al-Hallabat and the severe environment at As-Sweimeh imposed few unique challenges on the machines, but we are working closely with the customer and Cat to overcome these. Nonetheless, the ground engagement tools on the 988H rock buckets are doing well and some are still operating with the original fitments.

“Some machines are already at 8000 hours but we expect to achieve 18,000 to 20,000 before replacement and there is a focus on repair before failure. In total Advanced Crusher has 29 Cat machines and only one has had to be brought back to Jordan Tractor’s workshop in Amman for repair.”

According to Amin, employing skilled technicians is difficult in Jordan as many are attracted by the higher salaries in Saudi Arabia and the same problem is common when it comes to machine operators. The company has helped Advanced Crusher to train its operators to get the most out of the new machine fleet and has also carried out analysis at As-Sweimeh to help improve productivity.

Jordan Tractor meets with the client weekly and visits each site every week to ensure any problems are resolved quickly. Advanced Crusher is one of Jordan Tractors biggest customers and has the potential to grow further with truck investments planned and development of a cement plant by the Manaseer Group.
