The alliance, called Groupement de Recherche International: Multi-scale Materials Under the Nanoscope, also includes participation from the University of Berkeley, USA; the Federal Polytechnic School of Zurich, Switzerland, and the National Scientific Research Centre ( CNRS)of France.
There are also plans to include shortly the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Princeton University, both from the USA.
