Terex has launched its new 684 tracked mobile inclined screen, engineered and built for working in quarrying, mining, construction and demolition debris, topsoil, recycling, sand, gravel, coal and aggregate applications. “The Terex Finlay 684 is a compact easily transportable machine that offers operators rapid set up and tear down times. The new screenbox on the Finlay 684 features three full size 4.3m x 1.7m inclined decks giving a large screening area of 21.9m2 to provide efficient screening and high cap

The new screenbox on the Finlay 684 features three full size 4.3m x 1.7m inclined decks giving a large screening area of 21.9m2 to provide efficient screening and high capacity,” says the company.

“The screenbox features quick wedge-tensioning, access holes and bottom deck hydraulic tensioning system to reduce time required for mesh changes.”

The four discharge conveyors hydraulically fold for transport, and this is said to provide for rapid set up and tear down times. The fourth product ‘oversize plus’ conveyor can work at varying angles to discharge material for recirculation and stockpiling

A high performance 1,050mm belt feeder, with hydraulic gearbox drive, is fitted to the machine as standard while the hopper has a 8m³ capacity, also as standard, and can be fitted with a 14ft (4.26m) tipping grid or 12ft (3.65m) vibrating grid.

A Caterpillar C4 82kW air-cooled engine is used to power the machine, which has heavy duty crawler tracks and optional radio remote control unit.

“This fully self-contained plant can be hydraulically folded and ready for transport in less than 30 minutes making it ideal for contract screening,” says Terex Finlay.
