Terex Finlay’s new 684 tracked mobile screener is set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2011.
It was one of eight Terex Finlay tracked mobile crusher and screener models showcased at was previewed at Steinexpo in Germany.
The new model worked with a Finlay J-1160 jaw crusher and there was also a working circuit including a Finlay J-1175 jaw crusher; Finlay I-130RS impact crusher and Finlay 694+ inclined screen on the main booth. The recently-released Finlay 863 compact heavy duty screen worked with a Finlay I-110 impact crusher.
“The timing [of SteinExpo] has been perfect for Terex Finlay following the recent launch of the Finlay 863 and now the preview of the new Finlay 684 inclined screener. It offers our European customers the opportunity to see these new machines working in quarry and recycling applications,” said Nigel Irvine, sales and marketing director.
The Finlay 684 is said to offer operators rapid set up and tear down times. Its new screenbox features three full-size 4.3m x 1.7m inclined decks giving a screening area of 21.9m2 to provide efficient screening and high capacity.
All four discharge conveyors hydraulically fold for transport: the fourth product ‘oversize plus’ conveyor can work at varying angles to accurately discharge material for recirculation and stockpiling.
A high-performance 1,050mm belt feeder with hydraulic gearbox drive is fitted to the machine while the hopper has a 8m³ capacity as standard and can be fitted with a 4.26m tipping grid or 3.65m vibrating grid.
A Caterpillar C4 82kW air cooled engine is used to power the machine.
