Tillicoultry Quarries has achieved ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, further reinforcing its commitment to the highest standards in Health, Safety & Environmental management. These certifications complement the ISO 9001 Quality Management certification already held by the business, demonstrating a robust and fully Integrated Management System.

This success has been achieved through the hard work and commitment of all Tillicoultry Quarries’ operational teams and was driven and coordinated by Shona Syme, IMS Manager, who collaborated closely with all departments and led a comprehensive review of standards, processes, procedures, and requirements to ensure consistency and compliance across all areas of the business. Shona was supported throughout the process by the Health, Safety & Environment team.

To support the seamless integration of these management systems, an internal platform has been introduced that provides access to all relevant documentation for all sites. This rigorous and structured approach delivers a range of benefits, including standardisation and consistency across the organisation, improved internal and external communication, enhanced training and awareness for employees, reduced risks and increased profitability, and a culture of continual improvement.

Additionally, these certifications have been extended to the company’s Mortars and Renders business, further demonstrating Tillicoultry Quarries’ commitment to operational excellence and best practices across the Group.

Scott McDonald, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, commented: “Achieving these certifications is a testament to the hard work, focus, and commitment of all the Tillicoultry Quarries team. We are committed to continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards across the business.”

Tillicoultry Quarries remains committed to enhancing these standards, ensuring ongoing compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence.
