Turner Mining expands Utah team

Turner Mining has expanded its mining team in Utah through several new hires with experience in mine engineering, planning, estimating, safety and operations.

Lennie Boteilho,Turner‘s senior vice president of mining, says: “These team members bring very specific expertise across different aspects of the mining sector, allowing us to grow to meet our client’s needs. Today, we are better equipped to handle anything that comes our way.”

Bill Oglesby joins as director of planning & estimating. He brings over 26 years of experience navigating the complexities of large mining projects. Oglesby will oversee estimating, planning, and onsite operations. His experience spans crushing, leach pad construction & expansion, drilling & blasting, tailings facilities, mechanical, structural and concrete, along with expertise from building new plants to closure and reclamation. Oglesby joins Turner from Ames Construction.

Austin Anstoetter has been appointed director of operations. He joins the company fromGranite Construction, bringing advanced project management and estimating skills coupled with knowledge of large civil construction and complex mining projects.

Chris London is now safety manager. He comes from Australia and brings more than 20 years of experience in the mining and oil and gas industries. London will oversee safety programmes across several operations. He has knowledge of heavy mining equipment, pit management, hazard recognition, incident investigations, safety analysis, andMine Safety and Health Administrationstandards. London joins Turner from Vista Prop.

Trista Vanderhoof has been named procurement & office manager. She brings more than nine years of experience in construction, field systems integration and mining. Vanderhoof will oversee procurement, assist with subcontractor management and estimating, coordinate field resources and manage the Utah office. Her experience spans logistics, vendor development, and back-office management. Vanderhoof joins Turner from Suntec Concrete.

Founder Keaton Turner says: “We have made investments to put the highest calibre team in place to perform contracts of longevity and complexity. We are excited to continue building the runway to deliver the quality of work expected from a full-service provider.”
