The popular UK-based IQ Academy ‘Lunch and Learn’ webinar series returns this month with engineering professional, Nick Peatling, director of NIRAC Design Engineering, sharing his in-depth knowledge of quarry plant design, plant installation and materials handling.

Titled ‘The Basis of Plant Design’, the webinar will take place from 12.30pm-1pm on Thursday 26 July 2018. Peatling has worked in the quarrying industry for over 35 years delivering projects for many of the major aggregate producers. His company benefits from many years of experience and expertise within the industry, with the team working extensively on aggregate crushing and mechanical handling projects. His bitesize webinar session will explore specialist contractors and suppliers; transport, dump trucks or conveyors; in pit crushing; storage; time scales and costs.

James Thorne, chief executive officer at the IQ, said: “Nick is an extremely knowledgeable professional and we’re delighted to have him join us for this month’s ‘Lunch & Learn’ webinar.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the success of ‘Lunch & Learn’ to date, with over 600 attendees logging in to develop their industry knowledge. Designed to suit busy work schedules, not only do the webinars encourage discussion and in-depth insights into important industry-wide topics, you can also record the minutes towards continuing professional development (CPD).”

IQ Academy ‘Lunch & Learn’ is a compelling series of issues-related seminars delivered by IQ Academy. The webinars following Peatling’s are Empowering People through Great Leadership – Julian Smallshaw from IQ – 30 August 30; and Creating Wellbeing – Dr Carolyn Yeoman of OCAID Wellbeing – 27 September.
