UK-based MPQC has announced that its Continuing Professional Development (CPD) smart device app has been chosen as the platform of choice by Tarmac and will be rolled out to all 7,000 of Tarmac’s employees.

The app was originally developed to assist MPQC members with recording CPD, utilising technology to make it easy and smart. The new partnership with Tarmac follows the collaboration with Institute of Concrete Technology (ICT) back in March.

Developed alongside ICT and then Tarmac individually, each version of the app boasts new features and skins to incorporate each organisations colours and branding.

Anthony Elgey, general manager at MPQC, said: “We are proud to support our members with value adding innovative tools such as this MPQC CPD app, we have listened very closely to our members and built in features such as auto population of records, we know features such as this can make recording CPD quick, easy and fun.”

MPQC, the organisation that oversees standards, training and skills for the quarrying, mining,  construction and related industries, was approached by Tarmac earlier this year to discuss how the two organisations could collaborate and work together to provide tangible benefits to Tarmac’s employees.

Matt Gibbs, senior manager at Tarmac, said: “We evaluated various CPD solutions that could benefit Tarmac employees, we concluded that MPQC have developed an app that aligns with all our needs. Tarmac are proud to have been among the first to adopt the MPQC CPD app and roll this out to all Tarmac.”

MPQC and Tarmac are proud to announce that the new and improved CPD app is now live.

Search MPQC CPD on Android and Apple devices and download the app. Users should contact MPQC or Tarmac for an access code.
