This includes sales in June of such materials as cement, mixed concrete, reinforced concrete structures, shaped paving units, ceramic and sand lime bricks, and autoclaved aerated concrete blocks. Their production level totalled 2.8 million tonnes in June.
The production decreased by 2% and sales fell by 3.1% compared with May 2014.
The volume of construction works carried out in H1 2014 declined by 8.9% to UAH 21.50 billion (€1.28 billion/US$1.66 billion) year-on-year.
The housing development sector increased by 14.1%, while commercial and infrastructure construction fell by 25% and 7.4% respectively (data does not include Crimea).
