UK-based weighing, bagging and palletising specialist Chronos BTH has reported that customers are increasingly using upgrades and retrofi ts to existing equipment in a bid to overcome capital investment restrictions. The company has said that it has undertaken a record number of plant upgrades and refurbishments in the UK and Ireland in the last three months.

The company has said that the projects have involved a wide range of applications from bagging scales and feeders through to replacing near obsolete controllers. According to Chronos, these upgrades have allowed the equipment to meet current Weights & Measures regulatory standards.
