Bloomberg has revealed that US investors have obtained 71.7% of shares in Mexican cement company Cemex on Mexico's Stock Exchange (BMV) during the last three years, including BlackRock (at 10.78%), followed by Southeastern Asset Management (4.34%), amongt others, mostly because of financial restructuring at Cemex. The proposed merged between Lafarge and Holcim does threaten Cemex operations, although it could benefit from divestment to emerge as a stronger enterprise.
