Vicat Group, the France-headquartered global building materials giant, has been supporting Fondation Sococim and Sococim Industries with the construction of a maternity clinic in Ouakam, Senegal - the third-largest pediatric centre in the West African country. The Annette Mbaye d'Erneville Maternity Clinic in the Dakar suburb of Ouakam is named after a famous Senegalese journalist, writer and poet.

The Annette Mbaye d’Erneville Maternity Clinic in the Dakar suburb of Ouakam is named after a famous Senegalese journalist, writer and poet.
It has floor area of 800m² and around ten beds. It will help improve maternal, nonatal, and infant health in the area. In addition to the delivery room and pediatric service, it has a midwife training centre and a canteen.
The new pediatric centre benefited from the generosity of Sococim Industries who donated the required cement.
