Volvo Construction Equipment will exhibit its latest machines, electrification solutions and digital services at Steinexpo 2026 (2-5 September in Nieder-Ofleiden, Germany).

Under the theme “Raw material extraction on a new level: Efficient. Safe. Profitable.”, Volvo CE will present a broad portfolio for quarrying and mining applications, alongside solutions designed to help customers operate more efficiently and sustainably.

On its stand (A40) will be the R60 rigid hauler, the new EC560 crawler excavator, the L260 wheel loader as an HD rehandler and a Volvo FH Semitrailer from Volvo Trucks in the static display area. The display will be complemented by electric machines including the L120 Electric wheel loader, the A40 Electric hauler and the EWR150 Electric wheeled excavator.

In the demo area, visitors can experience the L350H with Long Boom, the Red Dot Award-winning A50 articulated hauler and the EC750E crawler excavator in action.

“Steinexpo is an important platform for us and our dealers to showcase our large construction machines, our progress in electrification and our portfolio of digital services to customers in the quarrying and mining industries,” says Frank Schmitt, commercial manager Germany at Volvo CE.

Volvo CE is using Steinexpo 2026 to present the new R60 rigid hauler and the new EC560 crawler excavator for the first time in Germany. Both machines will be displayed alongside the L260 HD and a Volvo FH from Volvo Trucks in the static area of the exhibition stand.

With the Stage V-compliant R60, Volvo CE has expanded its quarrying and mining portfolio with a rigid hauler designed to deliver low operating costs, high productivity, operator comfort and safety. The machine offers a payload of 55 tons and a body capacity of 36m³. Key features include a V-shaped body for fast, clean unloading, high traction and fuel-saving technologies such as Volvo Dynamic Shift Control and Eco Shift Mode.

The ROPS/FOPS-certified cab, excellent all-round visibility, ergonomic operator environment and a range of advanced safety features supports operators in demanding applications. The R60 is produced at Volvo CE’s facility in Motherwell, Scotland.

The EC560 expands Volvo CE’s range of large crawler excavators, offering a solution for demanding applications. With high engine power, tractive force and swing torque, it is designed to deliver high productivity in quarrying applications and is scheduled to enter the German market in 2027.

In the demo area, Volvo CE will demonstrate the performance of the L350H, the largest wheel loader in its portfolio, operating alongside the A50 articulated hauler. The L350H features an advanced powertrain with axles and transmission optimized for heavy-duty applications. Combined with third-generation OptiShift, the machine delivers improved fuel efficiency while enhancing serviceability. Volvo CE says the A50 articulated hauler provides faster cycle times, improved efficiency and exceptional operator comfort.  Completing the live demonstration, the EC750E will showcase its capabilities as a powerful crawler excavator designed for the most demanding applications.

Electrification
With the EWR150 Electric, the L120 Electric and the A40 Electric, Volvo CE is highlighting its electrification strategy at Steinexpo. These all-electric machines combine zero-emission operation with high performance, making them ideally suited to applications where emissions, noise levels and accessibility are becoming increasingly important.

The L120 Electric delivers high power density for demanding loading applications while enabling locally emission-free operation. The newly developed A40 Electric, which entered serial production earlier this year, offers the same renowned off-road capability, ease of use and robustness as its diesel counterpart.

The EWR150 Electric combines high mobility with the same proven performance, comfort and reliability customers expect from Volvo CE wheeled excavators.

The EWR150 Electric will be used in the operator competition and can be experienced live at the show. The competition’s best operators will qualify for the Volvo Operators Club final in Sweden in October 2026.
