Volvo Construction Equipment has been presented with the Marketing Agility award for the launch of the company’s new websites, by Sitecore in the company’s annual Experience Awards.

The award recognises brands that have made significant and measurable gains in productivity and marketing ROI.

” Volvo CE successfully built and launched more than 120 new websites in over 30 languages in record time, with each and every milestone of the project delivered on time,” says Eva Bärnheim, digital UX project manager at Volvo CE.

“And it is this ambitious effort which is starting to get us noticed within the digital marketing community.”

The prize for best Marketing Agility was presented to Volvo CE for “commitment to innovative thinking, displayed through the new website, which set it apart from all others.”

The launch of the new websites is the culmination of a project that enables the company’s online presence to be more valuable to customers. The sites are said to deliver a premium brand experience and consistent global marketing message.

As a result, Volvo CE says it has achieved a 100% increase in lead generation per site visit and a record high number of inquiries and requests for quotes.

The new way of working has also facilitated faster and easier web content management for the global team, including over 150 local editors, who update local content and campaigns.

And time to market has been reduced from up to three months to less than one month for global product launches.

“The development of the websites was a true team effort, and proves what a small, agile and highly ambitious team can achieve,” says Eva Bärnheim. “Now the foundation is in place, our exciting digital journey can really begin.”
