Komatsu Europe International has launched its new WA380-7 wheeled loader. Weighing 17,910kg, it is powered by a Komatsu SAA6D107E-2 engine, which produces 143kW and which is EU Stage IIIB/ EPA Tier 4 Interim emission certified.

Built on a proven Stage IIIA engine platform, the environmentally friendly engine is said to increase power while lowering fuel consumption by approximately 10% compared to the WA380-6.

The WA380-7 is supported by Komatsu CARE, a complimentary maintenance programme for Komatsu customers that comes as standard with every new Komatsu S3B construction machine, while the latest KOMTRAX technology sends machine operating information, such as operating hours, fuel consumption, location, cautions and maintenance alerts, to a secure website utilising wireless technology. The fleet monitoring system increases machine availability; reduces the risk of machine theft; allows for remote diagnosis by the distributor, and provides a wealth of other information.

Other new features of the WA380-7 include a large capacity torque converter with lock-up to provide improved acceleration and hill climb ability, a higher top speed and lower fuel consumption; an enhanced operator environment; greater versatility and convenient maintenance and serviceability.
