Two new machines are helping Fahey’s Concrete to get “maximum advantage” from its aggregate processing plant.
The company has introduced a Terex Finlay J-1175 jaw crusher and C-1540 RS cone crusher, delivered from Finlay Plant SW, at its Camelford site in the north of County Cornwall, south-west England.
Working with Gareth Johnson, managing director of Finlay Plant SW, Fahey Concrete chose the Terex Finlay J-1175, complete with an independent pre-screen, and a Terex Finlay C-1540 RS complete with pre-screen and a side conveyor.
Johnson said: “The J-1175 has an independent pre-screen, with a very aggressive action, which eradicates as many fines as possible, prior to the rock entering the jaw chamber.
“Following the J-1175 is the C-1540 RS. The crushed product passes directly over an on-board 1.83m x 1.22m single deck screen, prior to the cone chamber.
“Finlay Group fitted a side conveyor under the screen, giving the option of a screened product from the J-1175.
“After the material has passed through the cone chamber, it is then conveyed over a 3.66m x 1.52m single deck screen, oversize transfer conveyor, recirculating conveyor and fines conveyor.
“The cone crusher is also constantly choke fed, which helps develop a precise shape for the product and eradicates any shale.
