Starting on January 1, 2017, Wilfried Trepels will take on his new role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Executive Board at Wacker Neuson. Trepels takes over the position from Günther C. Binder, who will be stepping down from the Executive Board.

Starting on January 1, 2017, Wilfried Trepels will take on his new role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Executive Board at Wacker Neuson. Trepels takes over the position from Günther C. Binder, who will be stepping down from the Executive Board.

Binder has been employed by the German construction equipment manufacturer since 1999 in a variety of roles. He initially worked for the Neuson Group, which was later merged into the Wacker Neuson Group. In 2007, he took on the role of CFO at Wacker Neuson SE in Munich and held global responsibility for finance, auditing and IT. Among other tasks, Binder saw the Group through its IPO in 2007.

By mutual agreement with the Wacker Neuson Supervisory Board, Binder has decided not to extend his current contract, which expires at the end of 2016. Both the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board have thanked him for his many years of dedicated service and his support in developing the Wacker Neuson Group, and wish him all the best for his future endeavours.

From January 1 2017, Trepels, 52, will be responsible for finance, auditing and IT for the Group. Previously, he spent over 11 years as CFO at another SDAX-listed concern: SAF-HOLLAND Group. Headquartered in Luxembourg, this group is a leading manufacturer of chassis-related systems and components primarily for trailers but also for trucks and buses. Trepels has also held the positions of Managing Director at Dürr Systems and Schenck Process (then both subsidiaries of Dürr) and Director of Finance at Dürkopp Adler. The incoming Wacker Neuson CFO holds a degree in business administration, having studied economics, energy systems and process engineering at Aachen University (Germany).
