XCMG, the quarrying and construction equipment manufacturing giant, has staged an international conference to launch XCMG Schwing’s new S9 concrete machinery range. Nearly 100 people, including representatives of concrete manufacturers from countries including Germany, France and Australia and XCMG dealers and clients from countries linked to the ‘One Belt, One Road’ project, including Pakistan, took part in the event on 29 July 2016 at the Chinese company’s HQ in Xuzhou, China. At the conference XCMG Schwing explained how its new on show S9 concrete equipment platform products had successfully integrated German firm Schwing’s technologies. The products are, say XCMG Schwing, set to lead the concrete equipment sector with their high efficiency, intelligent technology, energy saving and reliable performance.
Sun Jianzhong, vice president of XCMG Construction Machinery and chairman of XCMG Import & Export Company, said XCMG concrete machinery has been an important part of XCMG’s development as one of its main product series. Jianzhong said XCMG was the first to launch domestic mixer trucks in China in the 1980s and then launched pump trucks and mixing plants. In 2012, XCMG acquired leading concrete machinery manufacturer Schwing. This, said Jianzhong, allowed XCMG to draw on the expertise of a company which owns several global leading patent technologies.
“Cooperation has brought technology and quality improvement and has expanded international influence,” said Liu Jiansen, the president assistant of XCMG Construction Machinery and general manager of XCMG Import & Export Company. Jiansen said XCMG and Schwing had realised effective collaboration in production, R&D, manufacturing and sales worldwide. He said cooperation between them had become an example of Sino-foreign cooperation because of their stable operation and credibility culture. In recent years, XCMG concrete machinery has developed its sales market share all over the world in such regions as Asia-Pacific, South America and the Middle East.
The most eye-catching models on show at the conference were S9 platform products developed through what was described as ‘Sino-German integration’. Nearly 20 concrete machine products were highlighted including HB52K- the industry’s claimed highest three-axle pump truck; SLM4 – the automatic loading mixer truck which is said to be very popular in Asia-Pacific; and HGP28- the new concrete spreader.
The S9 platform products have passed EU’s CE certification and Russia’s GOST certification, and manufacturing processes have passed several certifications such as international welding control system (IOS3834-2) and EU’s steel structure construction specifications (EN1090-2/3). During product test, XCMG Schwing used high-grade concrete C80 whose strength grade is 1.12 times higher than standard strength grade to test products’ performance.
