The company says it is the first international pump manufacturer to have produced this quantity of wastewater pumps at just one facility. Xylem, a leading global water technology company, has passed the production milestone of 4 million Flygt wastewater pumps at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Sweden.
The company says it is the first international pump manufacturer to have produced this quantity of wastewater pumps at just one facility.
The 4 millionth Flygt wastewater pump will support the efficient operation of the central pumping station at Azaibah in Oman, which pumps wastewater across 8km to the Al Ansab treatment plant in the Middle Eastern state.
The landmark 500kW pump stands 2.85m tall, weighs 5.3tonnes, and has a pumping capacity of 500 litres/second at 66.9m head. It features Flygt’s state-of-the-art monitoring system for operational safety, and accessible data review.
