UK-based 4599 Raymond Brown Minerals and Recycling has just taken delivery of two new 473 Volvo wheeled loaders in a bid to boost its recycling productivity. The L60F and L90F join an existing fleet of 12 loaders already in use at the company’s operations.

The new L90F has been deployed to the company’s site at Nursling, near Southampton and will play a key role at the facility as operation of a newly installed concrete batching plant is ramped up. The machine will be used mainly for handling incoming material for recycling and loading out crushed recycled aggregate.

“We needed the versatility of the L90F to be able to load out both our own fleet of road going tippers and high sided bulkers and to be able to work easily in the product bays as well as feed the new volumetric mixer,” explained Raymond Brown director Mark Isaac.

The smaller L60F was selected to take charge of a new acquisition for Raymond Brown Minerals and Recycling located at Casbrook Park on the outskirts of Romsey. The operation there consists of a medium sized transfer and recycling station with an associated skip hire operation.
