Xi was on a tour of the city of Liuzhou in South China's Guangxi Zhuang region, and visited LiuGong’s culture hall, R&D test centre and excavator assembly factory. He also spoke with staff and heard the company's recent developments.

Xi learned about the reform and innovation of enterprises, and the development of the manufacturing industry and distinctive local businesses. He said that only innovation can help the equipment manufacturing industry become stronger.

LiuGong built its first wheeled loader the Z435 in 1966 and has just launched the new 856E MAX electric wheeled loader. Over the past 62 years, the company says it has been committed to technology innovation and followed a strategy of globalisation and total solutions.

The company has 13 categories of 32 product lines, among which wheeled loaders have the highest global sales volume. LiuGong has five global R&D bases, 13 overseas subsidiaries, 17 global regional parts centers and 20 manufacturing facilities, and has delivered products to over 170 countries.

The manufacturer says its overseas sales revenue has continually increased over the past six years, and now accounts for over 30% of its total revenue.
