JCB’s new 427 wheeled loader is one of two new offerings

The new 633 JCB 457 wheeled loader is powered by an 8.9 litre Cummins diesel rated at 186kW that meets the Stage IIIB/Tier 4 Interim emissions legislation.

JCB says it is also more economical on fuel and also delivers an 18% increase in power over the earlier 456 model. It has been joined by the 427 and 437 wheeled loaders, powered by 6.7litre 410 Cummins engines rated at 118kW and 129kW respectively.

According to JCB these are said to offer fuel savings of up to 16% over earlier models.

Sophisticated driveline features include intelligent clutch cut-offs and a range of control and loader arm options to suit customer requirement.

JCB’s research shows that up to 60% of a wheeled loader’s operating time can be with the engine idling and that fitting an auto-idle system that reduces engine speed will make a significant reduction in long-term running costs.

Meanwhile working efficiency is also improved for the 427 and 437 models with the installation of a new transmission with a lock-up feature that works when travelling at high-speed in load and carry operations.
