Komatsu has introduced its new PC240LC-10 hydraulic excavator to the European market.

With the introduction of the PC240LC-10 hydraulic excavator to the European market, 436 Komatsu Europe International announces the launch of its new dash 10 range.

Komatsu says the machines feature improved efficiency, lower fuel consumption, better operator comfort, and enhanced serviceability to maximise productivity and lower operating costs.

Weighing up to 26,100kg, the PC240LC-10 is powered by a Komatsu SAA6D107E-2 engine, which is EU Stage IIIB/EPA Tier 4 Interim emission certified. It offers 5% more power and up to 10% less fuel consumption, and a fully automatic switchable auto-deceleration system can reduce fuel usage during idle conditions by up to 30%, says Komatsu.

The PC240LC-10 is equipped with the latest KOMTRAX technology, which sends machine operating information, such as operating hours, location, cautions and maintenance alerts, to a secure website utilising wireless technology. All major components on the new PC240LC-10 including the engine, hydraulic pumps, motors, and valves are exclusively designed and produced by Komatsu.

“This integrated design uses a closed centre load sensing hydraulic system (CLSS), which takes hydraulic efficiency to the next level with variable speed matching. This allows the engine speed to adjust itself based on the machine load throughout each individual working cycle,” says Komatsu.
