France’s Cement Roaston acquires Kercim

Kercim, a French company specialising in cement production and created in late 2012, has been bought Irish company Cement Roaston Holdings, which employs 76,000 people. The takeover value remains undisclosed, and will be effective at the end of June 2015. Kercim, a French company specialising in cement production and created in late 2012, has been bought Irish company Cement Roaston Holdings, which employs 76,000 people.

The takeover value remains undisclosed, and will be effective at the end of June 2015.

In 2013, the company's founder and shareholder Jean-Marc Demange died, and the initial shareholders sold their stake to 725 Lafarge on 1 July, 2014, although the products were still marketed under the Kercim name.

The planned merger of Lafarge and 680 Holcim obliges the sale of Kercim.
