Laos: SCG builds cement plant in Khammuan with LAK 2.50tn investment

Siam Cement Group (SCG) of Thailand has commenced the construction of a cement plant in Laos' province of Khammuan. The plant is being built in Mahaxay under a land concession agreement of 50 years, and will have an annual output capacity of 1.8 million tonnes and may start operating in 2017. SCG is building the plant with an investment of LAK 2.50 trillion (€278.23 million/US$308.26 million).

The plant is being built in Mahaxay under a land concession agreement of 50 years, and will have an annual output capacity of 1.8 million tonnes and may start operating in 2017.

SCG is building the plant with an investment of LAK 2.50 trillion (€278.23 million/US$308.26 million).
