RSSEthiopian cement major 7844 National Cement Share Company has entered into an agreement with Egypt-based ASEC Engineering and Management.

The one-year deal could be renewed for a further five years.

Under the deal ASEC will impart is expertise and knowledge to help National Cement operate and maintain a cement production facility in the city of Dire Dawa, Ethiopia. In addition, ASEC will also provide training and roll out systems to govern all functions at the facility, including maintenance, human resources, production, warehousing, and maintenance among others.

As a result, National Cement will be able to improve the quality of its products, lower production costs and boost production.
