Indonesia’s Semen Padang allocates IDR 174bn on dust emission

The managing director of Semen Padang, Benny Wendry has said that the cement producer is investing IDR 174 billion (€12.04 million/US$13.23 million) to deal with dust emission from its plant. The investment will be used to set up a green belt, fugitive emission control as well as main chimney control.

The managing director of Semen Padang, Benny Wendry has said that the cement producer is investing IDR 174 billion (€12.04 million/US$13.23 million) to deal with dust emission from its plant.

The investment will be used to set up a green belt, fugitive emission control as well as main chimney control.

A number of programmes are expected to be completed in 2015 while some will be completed in March 2016.

The management is working on reducing dust emission to only 50mg/m³.
