Metso Outotec makes executive team changes

Finnish quarrying and mining equipment giant Metso Outotec has made two executive team changes with immediate effect.

Metso Outotec has refereshed its executive management team

Piia Karhu is the new president of the company's Metals business area. Her previous role in the executive team was senior vice president, Business Development. The Business Development area will become part of the CFO's (chief financial officer) office, headed by Eeva Sipilä.

The previous president of the Metals business area, Jari Ålgars, has resigned from Metso Outotec.

"I want to thank Jari for his valuable contribution in the merger and subsequent integration of Metso Outotec as well as in the turnaround of the Metals business area. I wish him the best of success in the future," said Pekka Vauramo, Metso Outotec president and CEO.
