More than 100 EvoQuip dealers and customers in the US attended an open day in Kentucky to see live working demonstrations of the company’s compact crushing and screening range.

3652 Terex-owned EvoQuip staged the event at Park City Stone in Cave City on November 8. Park City Stone is a customer of 447 Powerscreen crushing and screening, which is another Terex brand.

Machines on demo were the Cobra 230R impact crusher, Colt 1000 scalping screen, and a Cobra 290 impact crusher. The Bison 280 Jaw crusher was also on static display.

EvoQuip provides compact solutions that can operate in applications including reinforced concrete, recycled asphalt, construction and demolition waste, coal and natural rock.

The Cobra 230R is a development of the Cobra 230 and is a closed circuit version which incorporates a 2.44metre x 1.2m post-screen. The post-screen is designed to enable the required product specification to be achieved with oversize material either being recirculated back to the crusher or stockpiled. The ability to quickly detach the complete after-screen system, including the oversize conveyor, provides the option of either running the machine in standard mode or transporting it separately.

Features of the Cobra 290 impact crusher include patented hydraulic overload protection system, two independent hydraulic controlled aprons, and excellent clearance from the rotor to the belt. EvoQuip says the short distance from the crusher outlet to the magnet, and the ability to hydraulically raise and lower the conveyor all ensure optimal material flow through the machine and optional vibrating underpan feeder, which offers complete belt protection in heavy duty recycling applications.

The Colt 1000 is the latest addition to the EvoQuip scalping screen range. It is as able to operate in both heavy duty and precision screening applications and is designed to manage the most difficult of materials. It features an aggressive 4.1m x 1.22m double deck screen, variable screening angle with numerous screen media options, and broad fines conveyor.

A number of EvoQuip models can be fitted with the T-Link telemetry system which provides the customer with real-time information on the performance of their machine.
