South Africa-based 642 Pilot Crushtec has achieved a new standard that will help to guarantee quality in its manufacturing processes. The crushing, screening, washing and stockpiling equipment company has announced that it has gained ISO:9001:2008 accreditation ahead of schedule.

The company received confirmation of its certification from Germany-based audit company TÜVRheinland after an audit of all Pilot's processes and procedures took place during November 2010, without any findings. "We have always known that we have got good systems and processes in place, but this now gives us more confidence in our system as it confirms our efforts as being efficient, well managed and customer focussed," explained Pilot quality manager Niel Pillay.

Pilot completed the certification process a month before its scheduled deadline which Pillay attributes to support received from all departments that make up the company.
