“This is not to ride on the ‘green’ wave. It has a lot of added value for the environment but also on the cost efficiency of the machine,” says president Kees Hoogendoorn.
The Explorer 1500 and 1800, both available as three and four-split classifiers, are now also available in the ECO-drive version. The electrical driven machine can run autonomously by the diesel engine which generates the electric power. However the electricity can also be supplied by the electricity network or from an electrical plug on the crusher.
The screening results are the same as the standard diesel/hydraulically-driven version, says Keestrack. However the maintenance costs of the ECO-drive diesel engine is much lower as this machine also runs on external electricity coming from the power network or generated from the engine of a crusher placed before the classifier thus saving energy, money and reducing emissions.
