Italy-based 1909 Cementir Holding has appointed Giovanni Luise as chief financial officer.

The 59-year-old takes up his appointment with immediate effect at Cementir, which manufactures grey and white cement, ready-mixed concrete, aggregates and concrete products, exporting to 70 countries worldwide.

Luise has held several finance managerial roles at multinational companies in sectors including utilities, pharma, defence industrial business and automobiles.

In recent years he worked as chief financial officer at industrial automation and robotics company Comau and prior to that at Maserati and Irisbus. He has also served as finance & administrator director at Alenia Marconi Systems.

Cementir Holding has also appointed Marco Maria Bianconi as its new investor relator. Havibg previously worked for IRI, Fidelity Investments, Caltagirone, he has been with the Cementir Group for over ten years. Bianconi maintains his role as head of M&A, integration and corporate development at Cementir Holding. He has covered the position of investor relator in the past.

Massimo Sala, who has served as chief financial officer, manager responsible for financial reporting and investor relator of Cementir Holding, leaves the company to pursue other opportunities outside the group.
