Chinese cement and plant construction group CNBM and France-based engineering firm Fives have signed an international cooperation agreement.

The two companies have defined areas of collaboration where each can benefit from the other's expertise and technologies. These include opportunities to partner in plant upgrade, plant expansion and new plants to implement Fives' technologies, such as FCB Horomill grinding system, FCB Pyro-line and Pillard burners to reach the highest level of energy efficiency, emission controls and product quality.

The CNBM building material industry group in China has a leading position in cement production and plant construction. Fives develops sustainable technologies in electrical consumption and CO2 emissions.

The companies say their collobaration can improve plant energy efficiency, reduce CO2 footprints and preserve natural resources, while increasing cement quality and reducing total cost of ownership.
