FLSmidth appoints pair to group executive management team

Denmark-based FLSmidth has appointed two new members to its group executive management (GEM) team. Annette Terndrup, head of group legal and strategy, and Cori Petersen, head of group HR, became members effective from 1 March. Terndrup joined FLSmidth in 2004 as corporate counsel. Denmark-based 7451 FLSmidth has appointed two new members to its group executive management (GEM) team.

Annette Terndrup, head of group legal and strategy, and Cori Petersen, head of group HR, became members effective from 1 March.

Terndrup joined FLSmidth in 2004 as corporate counsel. She was appointed group general counsel in 2013, and in 2016 her role was expanded to include group strategy and M&A.

Petersen joined the company in 2016 as the leader of human resources for the United States, and her role subsequently expanded to leader of HR for North America. She was appointed as head of group HR in April 2018.

FLSmidth provides engineering, equipment and service solutions to the global cement and mining industries.

Group CEO Thomas Schulz commented on the appointments: "Their combined experience will support our ability to navigate increased business complexity and enhance our talent development."

The group executive management team now consists of Thomas Schulz, group CEO; Lars Vestergaard, group CFO, Jan Kjaersgaard, cement president; Manfred Schaffer, mining president; Mikael Lindholm, chief digital officer; Annette Terndrup, head of group legal and strategy; and Cori Petersen, head of group HR.
