Lafarge Canada acquires Mixcor Aggregates in Alberta 

Lafarge Canada has acquired the assets of Mixcor Aggregates in Alberta which include 26 sites and 50 employees.

Brad Kohl, CEO at Lafarge Western Canada, says: “Lafarge continues to be committed to investing and growing in Alberta and contributing to our province’s economic recovery efforts. We look forward to welcoming these new employees to our team. We know they are aligned with our health and safety culture and that they share our vision to accelerate green construction.”

Lafarge describes the acquisition as an example of a collaboration with the government of Alberta on priorities such as sustainable growth and green building. 

Service Alberta minister Nate Glubish says: “The Government of Alberta is committed to creating, diversifying and creating jobs in Alberta now. Every job is important as we strive to protect Albertans from the financial effects of the pandemic and as Lafarge's work in our province ensures job security for more Albertans.”
