PCA unveils winners of 2023 Energy and Environment Awards

The Portland Cement Association (PCA), which represents the majority of America’s cement manufacturers, has announced the winners of its 2023 Energy and Environment Awards.

PCA Energy and Environment Awards are given to companies that have implemented outstanding environmental practices and have forged exemplary relationships with communities where their cement plants are located.

The association says that submissions from plants across the US were evaluated and recognised for environmental efforts completed in 2022.  

The 2023 PCA Energy and Environment Award recipients are:

Environmental Performance: CalPortland Company, CalPortland Mojave Cement Plant, Mojave, CA
Energy Efficiency: Alamo Cement Company, Alamo Cement Plant, San Antonio, TX
Energy Efficiency: Roanoke Cement Company, Troutville Plant, Troutville, VA
Land Stewardship: Ash Grove Cement Company, a CRH Company, Louisville Plant, Louisville, NE
Outreach: Buzzi Unicem USA, Maryneal Plant, Maryneal, TX
Outreach: Heidelberg Materials, Union Bridge Cement Plant, Union Bridge, MD
Overall Excellence: Ash Grove Cement Company, a CRH Company, Louisville Plant, Louisville, NE
Innovative Technologies: Titan Florida, LLC, Titan Florida/Pennsuco, Medley, FL
