Cementos Argos gets high ranking in FTSE4Good sustainability index

Cementos Argos, the cement company of the Argos Group, has been chosen among the top five companies in the construction materials sector for best practices in corporate governance, environmental and social management.

Cementos Argos has been recognised for its sustainability efforts in several ranking lists

Colombia-based Argos Group says the ranking, by the FTSE4Good global index, recognises its commitment to creating value for society.

"It is a source of pride to receive this recognition that highlights our teamwork and the great achievements we have obtained as a company in managing sustainability and creating value," said María Isabel Echeverri, legal and sustainability VP of Argos. 

The FTSE4Good index, operated by analytics provider FTSE Russell, one of the most recognised global indexes for sustainability issues and is recognised by investors as an Index that integrates these issues in investment decisions. 

Cementos Argos has also been ranked highly in the latest version of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index as the second most sustainable company in the world in its sector, and was awarded the gold medal in the RobecoSAM 2020 Sustainability Yearbook.
