HCME appoints sole distributor in Spain

6512 Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe)/(HCME) has announced a change in structure for its official distribution network of Hitachi construction equipment in Spain.

In order to provide its customers with one dedicated point of contact, HCME has appointed HJM as its sole distributor for the Spanish market. With its headquarters located in Ponferrada, north-east Spain, HJM will also have a new 18,000m² branch office for central Spain, located in the outskirts of Madrid.

Previously, the company had successfully covered the northern part of Spain. It will now be exclusively responsible for all sales enquiries and product support matters for the Hitachi range, which includes crawler and wheeled excavators, wheeled loaders, rigid dump trucks and special application machinery, for the entire country.

In line with this development, Portuguese company 3618 Moviter has relinquished its Spanish operation and is refocusing its efforts and applying its extensive experience to its existing markets in Portugal and Angola in Africa.
