Nick Learoyd: Bell Equipment UK’s new managing director

2983 Bell Equipment UK has promoted Nick Learoyd to be its new managing director for the UK and Ireland as the company gears up for the launch of its next-generation E series of articulated dump trucks.

The company says the internal appointment reflects “the exceptional work Nick has achieved for the company over the past two years, in his role as sales and marketing manager.”

The appointment follows the move of the previous managing director, Neville Paynter, to head up the new Bell Equipment North America division, where he will spearhead the launch of the Bell brand into the USA and Canada.

Prior to joining Bell, Learoyd worked for Alfred McAlpine where he was a regular customer of Bell with extensive experience in specifying, procuring and operating the full range of Bell ADTs throughout the UK.

He believes that his knowledge of dealing with the Bell range both as seller and buyer gives him a privileged insight into leading the company’s UK growth in ADTs and wheeled loaders.

“I have seen over many years how Bell has maintained its commitment to continuous improvement, backed by the passion to offer the best solutions on the market,” he explains.
“I first joined Bell because I like the way it does business, and I am delighted to be able to build upon Neville’s leadership to develop the brand further in the UK and the other territories where we work with dealers, including Ireland, Norway, Iceland and the Middle East.”

He says he is particularly excited to take on his new role as the first machines in the E-series, the B25E and B35E, enter the market.

“The E-series represents the next generation in the evolution of Bell, and I can’t wait to demonstrate the capabilities of our new models to customers.”
