Building materials facilities launched in Kaluga, Russia

Two facilities for building material production have been launched in the Kaluga region (Central Federal District). Omia Ural, the Swiss manufacturer of marble dust, has opened its branch at the premises of Vorsino Industrial Park in the Borovsk district of the region. Two facilities for building material production have been launched in the Kaluga region (Central Federal District).

Omia Ural, the Swiss manufacturer of marble dust, has opened its branch at the premises of Vorsino Industrial Park in the Borovsk district of the region.

The planned capacity exceeds 100,000tonne/year, and the factory intends to produce fine marble dust, which is used as an extender and a pigment in paint and coatings industry and in paper industry, as well as in plastic and building material sector.

The produce will be exported mainly to the regions of the Central FD.

Also opened is the Freelite industrial complex of ceramic granite tile production n in Balabanovo where the investments totalled RUB 2.3 billion (€47million).

Production of the first stage is 5 million m²/year, and the second stage will be launched in 2015.

The enterprise is fitted out with Italian equipment from Sami, Anora and CMF.
