Lafarge Africa to invest US$502.65 million in AshakaCem’s plants

Nigeria-based Lafarge Africa is reportedly spending US$502.65 million (NGN 100 billion) on AshakaCem's new and existing plants and a coal-fired captive power plant in Nigeria. AshakaCem production capacity will be expanded to 4 million tonnes, from 1 million tonnes at present. AshakaCem is a cement manufacturer and a unit under Lafarge Africa.
