A recycling project with an impact crusher has been carried out in the centre of the Chinese capital, Beijing, for the first time.

Contractor Beijing Yu Long Environment Protection was selected by the Beijing City Road and Bridge Construction Group to carry out a road project involving the processing of 5,500tonnes of asphalt and rubble, and it used a 3167 Rockster impact crusher R700S from the Austrian company.

The material was crushed directly at the jobsite and reused immediately for road construction, with the R700S producing a constant output of more than 100tonnes/hour to a size of 0/32mm. It is estimated that in the city of Beijing about 40 million tonnes of demolition waste could be recycled and about 90% of this rubble could be reused.
